"In a bid to empower women from rural areas, IndoSpace, a leading developer and manager of Grade A industrial real estate, and Magic Bus India Foundation have jointly launched the Young Women Fellowship Programme (YWFP). The first cohort of 52 women from areas around Chakan and Khopoli, where IndoSpace operates two large logistic parks, has successfully graduated from the programme.
The comprehensive programme aimed to equip each woman with life skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and leadership skills necessary to become self-reliant and change agents for their communities. The programme included a rigorous candidate screening, identification, and enrolment process, followed by extensive training modules, exposure visits, personality enhancement, business acumen skills workshop, and mentoring sessions. Participants engaged in practical tasks, and the programme culminated with the implementation of several community leadership projects and new business set-ups.
Rajesh Jaggi, Vice Chairman - Real Estate, The Everstone Group, emphasized the importance of empowering women, stating, 'At IndoSpace, we believe that empowering women is not just a moral imperative but also a critical driver of economic and social progress. Our women empowerment projects are designed to create lasting impact by focusing on education, health, economic empowerment, and community development.' He further added, 'By empowering women through projects like YWFP, we help break down the structural barriers and create an inclusive and prosperous society. Our efforts in women's empowerment are not just about individual success stories but about transforming communities.'
The graduating young women were felicitated by the management of IndoSpace and provided with certificates and business kits.
