The Intelligent “i” series readers include an embedded Arm® processor running Linux® meaning that for networked mode all the document processing is carried out on the reader. Ready for the cloud the Gemalto AT10Ki uses web style encrypted JSON messaging to simplify application development, deployment and maintenance.Â

The AT10Ki reads ICAO/ISO18013 documents in IR, 1D/2D barcodes (PDF417, QR, DataMatrix, Aztec), and RFID e-docs like ePassports, eIDs, eDLs with full support for BAC, PACE, PA/AA, CA, TA, SAC, and EAC (v1/v2), from paper or mobile sources.
The AT10Ki offers device provisioning via barcode, supports on/off-site setup, centralized fleet management with Enterprise Services Framework, browser & Web-API interfaces for managing networks, keys, certificates, and supports mDNS (Bonjour) for device discovery.
The AT10Ki features USB 3.1 (Type-C, 5Gbps), 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, WiFi (150Mbps, WPA/WPA2/WEP), Bluetooth® v2.1/v3.0/v4.0, optional ISO 14443 RFID reader (13.56MHz, up to 848 Kbps), and integrated USB 2.0 hubs (2 ports in USB mode, 4 ports in Networked mode) for peripherals.
The Web-API allows reader management over Ethernet/WiFi, using encrypted JSON messages for configuring read sequences and retrieving data/events. It supports image processing, OCR, barcode, and eID protocols. Device discovery lists readers on the network and it supports Swift™, Java, WebAssembly, C#, and C++.
