STQC CERTIFIES BIOENABLE’S eNBioScan-C1
SINGLE FINGERPRINT SCANNER FOR INDIA’s UIDAI AADHAAR PROJECT
To Be Used for Aadhaar Enabled Authentication Services
eNBioScan-C1, the FBI certified single finger scanner by the BioEnable Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was today awarded STQC certification. SQTC is an office attached to the Department of Electronic and Information Technology, Government of India and the scanner provided great results in the performance field-testing conducted by the office. According to the sources, the developers were provided with advanced technical support and the application was developed with Aadhaar authentication server. The performance field-testing was conducted in June 2012.
The certification means a lot the future of the device and certifies that the same is safe and reliable when it comes to meeting the project requirements. According to Pradeep Bhatia, the MD of the company, “STQC has strict testing guidelines and eNBioScan-C1 fingerprint scanners have successfully passed the tests under the STQC’s Biometric Device Certification Scheme, designed to facilitate availability of quality assessed biometric devices to identity verification agencies.”
The company is also providing technical support required to kick-start the integration of applications with UIDAI Aadhaar authentication server. In addition, the user friendly scanner is also FBI PIV certified and complies with ISO standards (ISO 19794, ISO 19792, NIST, ANSI). It is a perfect fit for government and semi government projects and provides high quality image capturing.
On his reaction after getting the certification, Mr. Pradeep replied, “We are honored to have the eNBioScan-C1 receive this certification as this is now required for most Indian fingerprint procurements. Our goal has always been to provide quality biometric products and solution from last 10 Years. Obtaining STQC certification is confirmation of that goal.”
