The Smart card IDs are used to store an individual’s data. One of the examples of Smart Card ID is driving license. Most recent Smart Card ID is the Aadhar card. The Aadhar card is built so that it reads the user data through a Unique Identification code and barcode.
Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique number which the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will issue for all citizens of India. The number will be stored in a centralized database. The Smart Card ID issued is linked to the basic demographics and biometric information i.e. photographs, ten fingerprints and retina scan of each individual. Smart Card ID is easily verifiable online, in an economical manner. Smart Card ID is unique and robust enough to eliminate large numbers of duplicities and fake identities in government and private databases.
