Palm vein authentication is a process in which the patterns of a palm vein are scanned and enrolled with the palm vein authentication system database. After the successful enrolment, the individuals are required to allow their palm veins to be scanned for authentication purposes. In order to accomplish this, an image of palm veins is captured and matched against the one that is stored in the database. If the palm vein pattern matches, the palm vein authentication system grants the user access to classified information.
As compared to the older and obsolete biometric authentication methods, palm vein authentication system is considered far more accurate and foolproof.
