Fingerprint-based identification has been in use for a long time. Everyone has unique and immutable fingerprints which are made up of a series of ridges and furrows.

Fingerprints interest companies because they are losing a significant amount of revenue due to the proxy punching that takes place with card-based time attendance systems since one employee can easily swipe another’s card. With a fingerprint-based system, however, physical presence is essential to mark your attendance.
